HENOTO brings sustainability to the UN headquarters

The Company, which is part of BolognaFiere, has organised an exhibition at the UN Headquarters in New York, combining technological innovation, Italian excellence and a commitment to the planet.

The UN Headquarters in New York, the beating heart of global diplomacy, has been transformed into an exceptional showcase for children’s literature and Italian exhibition design excellence. The exhibition “Turning the Page on Change: Children’s Books Inspiring Action for the Global Goals,” presented by the Bologna Children’s Book Fair/BolognaFiere in collaboration with United Nations Publications and with the support of the Italian Trade Agency (ICE) and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, found in Henoto a partner committed to translating the values of sustainability into temporary architecture.

Sustainability as a vision and a patent.

The exhibition brings together 173 illustrated books from around the world (including around thirty Italian titles), selected for the special category of the 2025 BolognaRagazzi Awards dedicated to sustainability. These books introduce young readers to the 17 Sustainable Development Goals of the 2030 Agenda.
The exhibition highlights the power of children’s literature to promote awareness and empathy, demonstrating how imaginative storytelling can help young readers navigate global challenges and recognise their role in building a fairer future. The modular structures housed the texts, creating a narrative journey that invites reflection. In the creators’ vision, the exhibition design itself bears witness to the exhibition’s message: beauty and functionality can be created while respecting the planet’s resources.

More than simply exhibition stand design.

To understand the scope of this project, it is necessary to consider Henoto’s profile. The company does not operate merely as a technical supplier, but as a true strategic partner. Its scope of activity ranges from exhibition stand design to exhibitions, from major events to retail and contract work – an ecosystem that supports the market from creative design through the management of complex international regulations, right through to marketing strategies.
With a global presence, Henoto has a well-established business in the United States: in 24 months of operation, through its offices in New Jersey, Atlanta and Las Vegas, Henoto has generated a turnover of over $15 million, with forecasts of further growth by 2026. And it is precisely thanks to the New Jersey office that it was possible to carry out the installation for the UN, optimising logistics and local resources without compromising on Italian design.
“Alongside the satisfaction of having had the opportunity to work at such a significant venue, we share the exhibition’s mission to promote a culture of sustainable development,” explains Antonio Bruzzone, President of Henoto. “Reducing our environmental impact is one of the strategic objectives of our work, which we pursue through a strong commitment to research and development and the implementation of bespoke protocols.”
