Henoto continues to grow in the temporary architecture market and aims to further expand its international presence in 2025 through new market operations. In recent years, the company's financial performance—part of BolognaFiere Group and formerly active solely in the trade fair sector—has been driven by the decision to diversify its business model. Henoto has specialized in temporary setups for sporting, cultural, and high-fashion events, as well as in the contract and retail sectors.
"After closing 2024 with positive results, the new year will see us take an even stronger stance in foreign markets, as outlined in our development plan," explains Gianpiero Calzolari, president of Henoto. "We operate and maintain around twenty locations across Europe, the United States, Mexico, and Asia. Over the past two years, we have expanded our presence in the United Arab Emirates and the Middle East—markets that are particularly interesting due to the deep transformations their economies are undergoing. Now we are ready to expand our reach into new geographical areas with strong potential. We are thinking, for example, of India, Africa, and Vietnam—countries with growing economies that are highly attractive to Italian companies. It is to these businesses that we offer our support, helping them accelerate their international development."
Henoto also operates in the market with the companies Tecnolegno Allestimenti, FonteMaggi, Emvisia, and Backspace.
As part of this international growth program, Henoto does not exclude new market operations. 'Acquisitions are part of and are foreseen in the company’s development plans to further enrich the offering and the ability to respond to customer requests,' continues Calzolari. 'One of the latest operations saw us acquire a 51% stake in the U.S. company Fm Exhibit Llc, which specializes in the design and construction of structures for the trade fair and events sector; a decision that will help us develop our business in the American market.
According to the group’s forecasts, the share of revenue from international activities should continue to increase, reaching 40% by 2028, when Henoto’s total revenue will have reached 150 million euros. The company closed 2024, reveals President Calzolari, 'with a significant increase in revenue compared to the 100 million euros of 2023, confirming the steady growth trend that has characterized the group’s business performance from 2021 to 2024. During the year, we set up more than 800,000 square meters for 400 events in Italy and abroad.
Among the projects that also involved HENOTO are, among others, Casa Italia for the Paris 2024 Olympics, the Davis Cup in Bologna, the 81st Venice International Film Festival, the 25th anniversary celebration of the Casino of Venice, and the 'Homo Faber' exhibition in Venice.
These results stem from a strategy that prioritizes design in the creation of our products, innovation with numerous investments in patents and advanced technologies, and sustainability, with a comprehensive plan aimed at reducing the environmental impact of the group’s activities. Not to mention the decision to always be at the forefront in the search for adjacent sectors and international markets to explore new business developments,' concludes Calzolari.
